This series consists of a report to the Governor of a state data processing survey and recommendations by International Business Machines, Inc. It was initiated by Robert Ingram, Director of Finance, for the purpose of providing better use of rental equipment with possible consolidation. An ultimate goal was the formation of a state data base along functional interests with subsystems and linking for an Information System. The report contains an executive summary, a survey of data processing needs, the recommended plan, department appraisals and recommendations, and a summary of recommendations. The report suggests consolidation in planning, personnel, and equipment. The Division of Data Systems Management was created in 1973.
